Thank you for your detailed reply and I MIGHT get it figured out yet.
Our issue is that we might have our courses & groups not set up correctly. Just learning moodle here at the middle school, we have ONE overall course for all 100 participants. Then within each course, we have groups for each SECTION (i.e. 1st Period, 2nd Period, etc.). So when our teachers assign a forum discussion topic, they are seeing ALL of the student replies vs. just seeing the replies in each section. Makes the grading (which gets recorded on paper and then transferred to district online gradebook) difficult.
Moodle has been fabulous, but can be a bit tricky to navigate through all of the features and options. Perhaps we need more guidance on how to correctly set up a course for the typcial five sections of students.
