TinCan Api Plug-in for Moodlerooms

TinCan Api Plug-in for Moodlerooms

I have just discovered that the reason my SCORM files are not working across all mobile devices and tablets is because Articulate (my SCORM creation software) requires that the files must be published as a TinCan Api.  However, there are not activities which will accept this file type in Moodlerooms.  Does anyone know of a plug-in or a work-around I could deploy in order to get this resolved?

Hi Julia,
did you already search in the Moodle plug-ins directory? https://moodle.org/plugins/view/mod_tincanlaunch for example is under quite active development but you need an LRS too: https://github.com/garemoko/moodle-mod_tincanlaunch/blob/master/README.md#what-you-will-need.

if you want to be kept informed about Moodle and xAPI, please follow MDL-35433.

HTH,
Matteo

I don't think you have the full story there.... Articulate has an offline player tool that only works with TinCan API support which Moodle doesn't have out of the box. When publishing from Articulate you should publish as SCORM 1.2 and leave that box un-ticked as Moodle doesn't support it. Doing this should allow your packages to work on all devices supported by Articulate.
