We don't have any chalk in our classroom, but we do have an old chalk board behind one of the whiteboard swing out panels with some ancient hieroglyphics from an ancient culture.

The whiteboard is full of my barely legible scribbles, circles and lines. It made sense at the time. My two goals this term were to write instructions for activities in a Moodle course which was projected on to a screen and to not use my computer during the lunch break. I asked my students to hold me to both of those goals, and despite their gentle reminders, I failed both.

I need to scribble random things with my whiteboard marker. It's my way of thinking and crowd sourcing their answers to move up to the next step. I don't want to keep it or  make it neat and perfect for distribution under CC license.

Next term I will try to take breaks but I won't  try to ditch my whiteboard marker.
