Hi am having a problem at present with some of our custom code,
Initially when developed we were not coding to moodle but making bit mistakes and using custom code to do the job that moodle could do for us. We created some new roles which had extra priviledges at both course and category level, but we had made the mistake of these being site wide roles.
To cut a long story short we are now giving roles to specific categories and using capabilities however I need to do one of 2 things:
a. work out how all users with non standard roles in category have there capabilities inherited for the course on course creation.
b be able to check against category capabilities from one of our custom pages which uses course context.
