Hi Moodler,

in our 2.7 moodle we got a course with 3 quizzes. The final score should be the mean value of the 2 quizzes whith the highest score. The lowest result should be ignored. Is there a way to achieve that?

Best regards

Sebastian

Yes, you can set your gradebook to mean of grades and to drop the lowest grade.  See https://docs.moodle.org/29/en/Grade_settings

Hello again,

that is exactly what I asked for but unfortunately I did not ask the right question :D

Our scenario: Students have to take at least two of three tests where the mean value of the two best results should be used for the final grade. Students who take only one test should not get a grade.

Best Regards

Then you are going to have to write a custom calculation for your final grade.  On your gradebook settings (or items and categories) go to Edit Calculation under the final grade.
