Guest Access to Course with Multiple Books

Guest Access to Course with Multiple Books

We are having a problem with guests consistently seeing the first book in our course. The course consists of 9 books (one hidden) that are intended to be viewed in order. Apparently when somone logs in as a guest and clicks the white square at the right to collapse all the books except the current one they are viewing, this state carries over to the next guest who logs in.

Is there a way to disable this show/hide topics feature? Alternatively can we set a default state that all guests will see?

The course is here:

Thanks for any help you can provide.

We are having the same problem with the guest users.

Users logged in as guest can collapse blocks and books and the collapsed blocks are remembered by moodle and next guest user that logs in will retain the previous guest settings. Is there a way to disable this for guest users?

Anyone got a solution to solve this?

Hi Dave, have you ever tried to move all the books to the header section of a theme oriented course?

The header theme section is not collapsable. In this way, you can show all the material you have to all your students, no matter the behavior of the visitors.

Configure your course as a theme oriented one, with only one theme, and hide it.
