Forum posting maximum editing time may be increased to 60 minutes in the Miscellaneous section of Administration >> Configuration >> Variables. If you require the editing time to be much more than this, you may wish to consider using a wiki rather than a forum. Also, you may be interested to read The philosophy underlying "no editing after 30 minutes".
