Certificate plugin - used to work, but now won't show the student's certificate via force download or open in a new window.   Did get it to email a certificate, but a page of code shows up for too long where it appears to break the system and will surely throw students off, plus that email took quite sometime to come through.

It had been working since October 2014 with no issues up until a couple weeks ago.  Was sporadic the last couple weeks depending on what browser and if you cleared your history, etc, but today won't let any download.

Either chrome shows it as a FAILED - Network error when attempting to download it or it attempts to open in a new window and shows a spinning progress wheel that only gets 75% or even 100%, but never shows the cert.

Oddly, can click to open it in numbers or text doc and it works and downloads.  So doesn't appear to be an issue with the server itself or any behind the scenes changes.

Have tried making a test course and adding the certificate activity to it and again, sporadic.

Using Moodle 2.7.  Shows a plugin update is available, but will require an update to the Moodle server itself.  Did recently add a new plugin for the Big Blue Button, but nothing else changed with the certificate plugin and don't see how one install of a plugin would affect another plugin that was working correctly.  Waiting to hear back from anyone else who may have edited that server.

Next step I can think of is deleting the plugin folder and re-installing it from scratch until we upgrade Moodle itself to 2.8 which is on our timeline.

Any ideas why the certificate plugin became sporadic and is having those kinds of issues?

Thanks!!
