Dear Moodlers,

A work-around or plugin that would enable the scheduled course-events to show up on the frontpage for non-authenticated users would be FANTASTIC!

The problem is put simply: using the upcoming events block (or possibly also calendar block) to show linked, scheduled events from courses.

This could possibly be achieved through providing a link in a 'global event', but frontpage users would have to first open the event to find the link, and that is undesirable for usability.

For course-subscribers this is already achieved on the frontpage after login:

upcoming events blockNow what I would like to achieve is that this is visible to ALL site viewers, regardless of login. This would serve as a means for them to be taken to the enrollment page to login and if necessary pay to participate in the course.

Thoughts for future development would include thumbnails of the course files.

Is there already a plugin that does any of this?

Best Regards, Visti Larsen.
