Obsolete documentation page / Performance settings HTTPS

I wasn't sure where to post my question, that's why i post it here..
I was looking recently for documentation about Moodle 2.7 and https.  I found out this page :
https://docs.moodle.org/27/en/Performance_settings#Other_site_administration_settings_which_may_affect_performance

It's mentioned that using https for all Moodle pages is not recommended.
However i see many moodle in https, that's why i raised the point in the french forum community.  According to my moodle colleagues, it seems that it's no longer any issue to use https with Moodle, as Moodle has really improved in the last releases the cache systems. 

Do you agree that using https with moodle is no longer an issue with regards to performance ?
If so, how to ask a revision of this page ? (if i click page comments, i get "This page has been deleted")

Hi Emilie,

we run several Moodle sites entirely in https without performance issues. However, for those sites that are very busy we usually offload https to the load balancers placed in front of the web servers.

There is a nice configuration in Moodle to accomplish this:

Hi Emilie,
it's not strictly a Moodle issue but a potential issue of the environment hosting the Moodle instance. See some hints at https://istlsfastyet.com/.

As already told by Andrea, off-loading the encryption could be a solution when HTTPS will affect your performances.

Hello Emilie - I did see your post in the French speaking forums but I didn't reply as I don't know about https and http blush I am moving this thread to the Community sites forum where we can discuss the documentation site. Feel free to add a comment on that page if you wish - it was only deleted because the comments were out of date; if you type into it, the page will be recreated.  Also, as the docs are a wiki, anyone is welcome to add to the main article.
