I have a requirement of allow students to type one, two, three word answers (short answers type of question).
I used the Short Answer question type, and also provided various answers variations i could think of, but was not able to cover all (which is practically not possible)
From the forums what I understood is we can use regular expression and all that, but for diving into another question type I need your experienced view as to which question type should be used here? There is limited time and I have to solve this.
Here is the scenario, (because of university policy i am not able to give the actual question but the below will describe all the problems)
Question1) Type the first three numbers of the English language.
Real and expected answer) One, Two, Three
Answers which students gave and their problems
(The below should be marked correct according to requirement)
A1) one, two, three (no prob as not case sensitive)
A2) one two three (no Commas! doesnot match marked incorrect)
A3) one, two, three (no space after the comma! marked incorrect)
A4) one, tow, three (typo! marked incorrect)
A5) two, one, three (unordered! marked incorrect)
A6) one, three (marked 50% as variation specified) but
A7) three, one (unordered! marked incorrect instead of 50%)
The above A1 to A7 are just the sample answers i received for a question, there would be many such questions having two to three answers together where spelling mistakes also must be ignored, how am i supposed to feed in all the causes?
Thanku for ur time, please guide.
