Add

$CFG->slasharguments = false;

to your config.php file. Any different?

What is this Merilin badge, how do I get one? Does it have a Wizard with a pointy hat and wand. Is it gender neutral (witch is so pejorative)

The error I get is "The requested URL /aldine.edu.in.lms/www/ was not found on this server." That directory looks suspicious to me. Have you misconfigured Apache? If /aldine.edu.in.lms/www/ does exist, put an index.html file into it and see whether it get displayed when you reload.

Apache was configured OK on godaddy-shared-hosting

but Howard Miller's tip solved the issue.
