I have administered bot WebCT and Moodle and personally find Moodle far easier and more logical.

There are a few teachers, though, who have been teaching a lot with WebCT and they have a hard time adapting to Moodle, looking for identical functionality, rather than other, better, solutions.

In addition, we had a set up in WebCT where teachers would get a course with tools preinstalled (because we considered it too difficult for teachers to learn how to do that on top of learning how to use those tools, since each tool had a different interface). In Moodle in contrast we deliver courses that are almost empty, so that teachers can choose themselves the tools that will fit their teaching best. Paradoxically, the greater ease of use of Moodle thus leads to some teachers feeling, on the face of it, that it must be more difficult. smile

Having said that, Moodle is making headway nonetheless. Our eLearning has expanded significantly since we adopted Moodle, as more and more teachers (who were put off by WebCT) get involved.

Rgrds,
Paul.
