I found the custom menu edit section. I was just looking in all the wrong places. Thank you for your help Mary!
It was in the Appearance>Themes>Theme Settings section as you stated and works fine.

We are using the latest version of Essential and can't make our custom menu display properly. Our custom menu displays just fine if we switch to any other theme.
Ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
Can you please add a screenshot that shiws what problems you are experiencing with the custommenu?

On my personal site, the menus show up just fine:
However, the same theme on our production site does not show our menus at all:
I just completed a new test while taking screenshots using the same custom menu on both sites (e.g. the standard one that comes with Moodle). That menu appears fine on both sites. However, when we put in our own menu, it doesn't appear (but works fine on our Moodle 2.6 server).

I have tested this in Moodle 2.7 and the menu works OK in Clean theme, so I guess your menu is OK although I tend to remove the last " from target="_blank" as it is not needed...and therefore will look like this...

I have just tested ALL your menu, as you wrote it in your last comment, and all works OK in Essential theme...so not sure what is causing the problem in your production site.

Ok, this is strange. On a hunch, I went back and tried pasting in our menu again... and it now works. A glitch when we updated our server?
Oh well, at least it works now. Thanks again for your help!
