"Conditional activities enable teachers to restrict the availability of any activity or even a course section according to certain conditions such as dates, grade obtained, group (new in 2.8)". I usually use it to restrict students from viewing and entering the activity 2 before they finish the activity 1 but it does not work with gradebook viewing.
