In my Moodle online learning environment, I have split up the courses into several chapters and chapters into several lessons and assignments.
For convenience of the students, I give an estimation of how much time he/she has to invest in working through a lesson or completing an assignment.
Now I want to calculate subtotals of estimated time necessary for all lessons/assignments in a chapter, and totals of cumulated time needed for all chapters in a course.
Is there a way in Moodle to do this automatically?
Can I use a number-field (integer, decimal, time) and paste this in a text sentence?
In which module can I implement such a number-field?
How do I let Moodle add up several fields?
Where can I display the sum of number-fields?
Can this be done Moodle-wide or only in certain modules?
