I have been looking for a way to enable the Resources I link from Moodle to be launched in a fullscreen. The first thing that I thought to myself was, why wasn't there a checkbox under the "new window" section when adding or updating a resource. Among the show the status bar, menu bar, toolbar etc. options, there should be one to cater for a fullscreen window.
I don't think this has been mentioned before in the forums here, and since this was very useful for me, I figured it might be as well for others. All I did was to edit the file /mod/resources/lib.php , line 42 by adding the fullscreen option into the array, like so:
$RESOURCE_WINDOW_OPTIONS = array('resizable', 'scrollbars', 'directories', 'location', 'menubar', 'toolbar', 'status', 'fullscreen', 'height', 'width');
Apparently there is an option to cater for this feature, it's just not enabled by default. Useful if you want to stretch a flash presentation to fullscreen.
you can even take this a bit further, if you add:
$RESOURCE_WINDOW_OPTIONS = array('resizable', 'scrollbars', 'directories', 'location', 'menubar', 'toolbar', 'status', 'top', 'left', 'fullscreen', 'height', 'width');
and in your /lang/en/resource.php the entry
$string['newtop'] = 'Align to top screen edge';
$string['newleft'] = 'Align to left screen edge';
You will see two more checkboxes, to align your new window to the top and left. I use this option for my flash animation, that I created with WINK (from http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ a graet tool, by the way). I prefere to view them in original flash size, but they used to 'hang around' someplace on my screen. I found your entry in the forum and thought, that there might be a solution for my problem, too. First shot, hit, sunk.
Thank you for the hint.
