I am using Moodle 2.6 as LTI provider (through the LTI provider plugin). The consumer site is another LMS where they implemented LTI. This consumersite does only have Fullname and no separated fields for Firstname + Lastname. On launching the link from the consumer you end up on the Moodle profile page requiring to add your Lastname. Once added you can save your profile and can find your course. The data is stored in the Moodle database on provider end. However if you launch the link from the consumer again Lastname is empty again and requires you to add this again. This keeps occuring every you launch from consumer end.
I assume this is because firstname, lastname, email are required fields for Moodle?
What can be done on either consumer or provider end to prevent this behaviour?
