Hello!
I loaded my activities into my class. Now, I'm looking at my gradebook and I need to update the maximum points per each graded item. When I go to click in the Maximum point field, it gives me a red circle with a line through it.
Does anyone know how to change the point value?

Which version of Moodle are you using?
As far as I know, you have to actually go to the edit settings page of each activity in the course and change the grade there for the overall activity. There have been some recent changes in the grade book in 2.8, but I am not seeing the ability to change the maximum grades in there, even though it looks as if you could.
So go to the activity itself, then look for the Administration block and look for the edit settings link. This will take you to the edit settings page for that activity. Change the grade section to the total points you want and save your changes. When the changes have been saved, they will then show up in the grade book.
Within the activity setting. Change the grade there.
