'Delayed reveal' of forum posts

I've been trawling through Moodle literature over the past few days and I'm sure that I've read somewhere something about preventing forum posts being seen by those involved until a certain time (sort of a 'delayed reveal').  This would be great to get my pupils' views on certain topics without them being swayed by what they have already read.  I'm trying to get this function to work but haven't had much luck so far.  thoughtful

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have some faculty also interested in such a feature.  You can accomplish this by using separate groups -- putting each student into their own group.  It would be nice to be able to do that by pressing a button.  When you want them to see each other's posts you just switch the forum back to either no groups or visible groups.

But having a new forum type, like individual -- or even a new group mode -- would accomplish this and more.
