How does this moodle site do this?

I was wondering how the "Available Courses" block was added to this site?

I cant seem to add something like this where it takes up the center of the page and how I can add courses like they do.

The site is well known and the URL is http://remote-learner.us/

Anyone have any ideas for me?

It's in your site settings:

Your Site » Administration » Configuration » Site settings

Front page format: "Show a list of categories"
