Editor Box not appearing when replying to Discussion

Editor Box not appearing when replying to Discussion

I have a student who is attempting to repy to a post from his teacher and when he selects "REPLY" the normal screen appears except that it has no "editor box"  Any ideas would be appreciated.. He is using IE and says that it has happened on two different computers.
