"No valid arguments supplied" when viewing remote resource

This is a new behavior for us.

We create our course content as separate PHP pages stored elsewhere on the server, with Moodle functions embedded in them for some extra functionality. Then we add a link to the course content as resources.

Today we started receiving the "No valid arguments supplied" error when attempting to get to those resources from the main page of our courses. It seems that the error is being thrown by the file.php script, but I can't be sure. Apache, of course, throws no errors at all.

Any suggestions or insights whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
