Moodle 1.0 beta 4

Well, beta 4 is ready and looking better than ever!

Changes since beta 3 include:

- At last, it's ready to translate (426 strings!)
- Resolved some windows-only PHP bugs
- Many, many little interface cleanups

At this point Moodle is getting very close to a final 1.0 release. I'm basically ready to say this Beta is it - there are no bugs that I currently know of.

Re: Moodle 1.0 beta 4

I may be doing something wrong, but I downloaded
Beta 4, installed it OK on a Linux-Mandrake 8.2
server. I got as far as entering the information
for a course. When I tried to enter the first
week description, the form said week 0, and
submitted the info. No change. When I tried
to change week 2, the form still said week 0,
and again there was no change. Hints? Or at
least confirm that it works on your end?

Re: Moodle 1.0 beta 4

I was going to apologize for posting my "Bug" here instead of the Bug Tracker, but I can't figure out how to log in there, so that's either a "meta-feature" or a meta-bug wink

I tried using the username and password that was successful to log in here, but it didn't work.

For now the bug tracker actually has a separate authentication system - just use the "Create a new account" button. http://bugs.moodle.org

Re: Moodle 1.0 beta 4

Thanks, Jan - I've found it and fixed it. It was another of those bugs that affects new installations only, in course/view.php.

Updated in CVS, current nightly and it looks like I might have a Beta 5 yet (later today).

I just found and fixed a small bug that stopped mail copies being sent out to non-admin subscribers of site-level forums (such as this one!)

So those of you subscribed to this News forum will actually be getting your mail copies from now on. smile
