hello moodlers
I've been reading and reading this site for three days and I think i'm going round in circles; I set up a moodle test site via a fantastico script on my ISP, and have been enjoying playing with it no end; but I jst can't find ponters to certain info <sigh> because everything here seems to assume I already know stufff I don't .....
specific, and stupid, question:
if I want to find and install modules (is that what you call add-ons?) like for instance the flash module, where do I find it? How do I install it?
Is there a common repository for other add-ons?

Welcome and well done for getting that far!
Add-ons can be found on the download page which is accessable from the front page. Then click on the modules tab. Or you could just follow this link
http://download.moodle.org/modules/
The modules are zips should have instuctions inside but basically you normally unzip them and put them in their own folder in the modules folder on your webserver. You then need to login as an admin and go to the admin page on your site. This will kick in the install procedure.
