I have noticed, backups (version 1.5.2+) now take hours to complete and server performance is severely affected when the automated backup kicks in every other night: to back up less than 2 GB of data in over 100 courses takes 10 hours now. I would certainly want to use the backup function in Moodle on my server, but this is becoming a serious performance issue now.
Specs: 1GB RAM on Windows 2000 Pro, Easyphp, and an Athlon 2800+ CPU. Has anyone got a solution?
