any other examples for embedded answers (cloze) ?

In the embedded answers - moodle gives one format of using it.

I need a different one, maybe someone has.

For example, I have a text, and I need the students to fill in the write answer:

I (to walk) ___________ down and street and (to see)__________ my friend Joel coming towards me. I was happy to see him and he (to be) ______ happy to see me.

So the student has to put the write form into the empty places.

Does anyone has the write format for it?

Try this:

I (to walk) {1:SHORTANSWER:=walked} down and street and (to see) {1:SHORTANSWER:=saw} my friend Joel coming towards me. I was happy to see him and he (to be) {1:SHORTANSWER:=was} happy to see me.

There are other clever things you can do with feedback for incorrect answers, and multiple correct answers; have a glance in the online help for further examples.
