I am wondering how it is possible that faculty and/or administrators are not able to set Moodle to sort by surname, then first name, and then middle initial (if needed).
This is a time/energy consuming flaw with high risk for grading errors, with Moodle and when entering grades into the official grading program (for example WebServices), which may sort properly.
Please explain the reasoning behind this flaw, but no matter what the reason, it seems that this should have been an non-issue, from the onset.
