Plugins team reviewed 12 submitted plugins last week, 9 of them were approved and published in the Plugins directory.

  • My Feedback is a report that allows students to see an overview of all their grades and feedback for assessment activities such as Assignments, Turnitin Assignments (v1 & v2), Workshops and Quizzes.
  • UNI Login allows users to log in to Moodle using the Danish UNI•Login service.
  • Etherpad Lite is yet another activity module that integrates Etherpad with Moodle.
  • Three new repository plugins - Flickr public (Xpert), Upload and attribute a file (Xpert) and URL downloader (Xpert) - implement a nice addition to their standard counterparts when embedding an image into Moodle. They automatically attach the license information and attribute the image to the copyright holder. Very useful!
  • Webcam Snapshot allows users to easily make a picture of themselves via the device's camera and use it as their profile picture. Requires Flash. Say selfie!
  • Toggle preview is another very useful Atto plugin that does what its name says. It lets you preview the edited text to see how it will look like after all filters and other formatting is applied. Nice!
  • Heartbeat is an admin tool designed to help with your site monitoring, especially in the ELB cluster environment. Also provides a configurable Nagios compliant health checker of scheduled tasks execution.

I am proud to say the initial review times are getting better and better, with the current median 3 days.

Big thanks to Dan Marsden (Catalyst IT), one of our plugin guardians for the help with peer-reviews last week.
