Thanks
I just got a request from our LMS admin to look in the entirety of our moodle instance for a specific URL and was wondering what the best way to look for it might be? If it were a link posted as a course activity inside an assignment or something similar would it be in the DB or the dataroot folder? If the DB would I just search all the tables? And if the dataroot folder would grep work? Or does moodle encrypt that type of thing.

I ended up finding what I was looking for just by searching all tables, but if anyone would like to comment on this thread feel free. I'm curious if there's a better way.

I use a php script - anywhereindb

I find it very useful.
