Hi everybody,
I was wondering if it is possible to prevent teachers to rename their role within their course's settings.
I gave a look at the capabilities and permissions but it seems to me that this is an option that comes by default with all the "manage course settings" capabilities.
Am I wrong? Thanks for the attention!
There's currently no way to do this - however, there is an open tracker item requesting this feature (almost 4 years ago..): MDL-26935

Looking for same feature here. We would like to avoid some roles with higher or ambiguous privileges from appearing to the teacher. Ex: Manager, Autenticated user, Frontpage, Web services.
