Statistical tests on student grades

Hi,

In our department, we want to use some statistical tests on student grades to measure the effects of prerequisite courses on main courses. These tests include;

  • Shapiro-Wilk Test (test of normality)
  • Pearson's r 
  • Spearman's Rank correlation
and some other tests which are cumbersome to do by hand. So we want to carry out these in moodle environment since the department is already using moodle.

Would it be possible to create a plugin to carry out these tests (tests also include vector operations) in moodle website of the department ?

or 

Are there already tools available for use in moodle for that purpose?

There are no current plugins for performing this analysis.

I suggest that you export the grades from Moodle. A variety of formats are available, but CSV is probably a good choice. Then load the data into some statistical software to do the analysis.
