What should we do if we need the features of two or more course formats altogether ? Can we kind of mix formats or ... ?
The only way to combine features of different course formats is to hire a developer to write a new course format with the features you want (or look for a 3rd-party format that already does what you want - https://moodle.org/plugins/browse.php?list=category&id=19 ).
