I am trying to develop a custom moodle application for the institution that I work following the instructions that were provided by the community members.
After building the application succesfully making mostly visual changes I've installed it to my android device in order to configure it with my moodle website.
My moodle installation is 2.7.1 which means that it contains all the plugins for the push notifications by default. The actions that i took in order to configure the mobile notifications were the following:
Enable web services for mobile devices
Enable mobile notifications from "Message Outputs"(received key)
Enable mobile notifications to the users "My Profile"
When I log in my application with a test user, i can see the notification option which means that the platform supports notifications and no error message appears regarding configuration for the push notification settings.
The problem occurs when I try to send some messages to the user which has the application installed. The messages that i sent never seem to appear in the notification area.
Also the messages plugin is not visible in the menu despite the fact that the visibility conditions are similar with notifications plugin which is visible.
Apart from those two plugins everything else seem to be working well, I can send private messages to other participants and add them as my contacts.
I would really appreciate some guidance
Thanks in advance!
