Lesson has some question types, but not as many as Quiz has.
I guess you want to use the full feature of Quiz INSIDE a Lesson, that is... impossible .
Lesson and Quiz work for different purpose.
If you want to utilize the feature of Lesson, something like Steps or Branches, it can be done in Quiz with the 'Activity completion condition' setting in the 'Restrict access' tab.
