After updating to Moodle 2.6.6, whenever an assignment is added to a simple weighted means category, it adds it as extra credit. I did do some searching, and found the following, but is there not a way to fix this without having to updated to the latest (which I'm not sure is working there either!)
Should we go to the LAE version of Moodle? Do they have these issues taken care of? This is a huge deal to have to remind the teachers "Oh, by the way, check every time you add an assignment to make sure it's not extra credit."
