Hi all,

sorry for my englisch . I have quetstaion about moodle authentication . In the page Authentication->LDAP server I set Binding , where I set user for get information from AD . In this page is Authentication type . what mean this ? This is autheticate betwen user and moodle server or moddle server and dc ? And authenticate betwen binding account and domain controller ? which protocol is used ? NTML or Kerberos ?

OS:Windows 2008r2 domain

Hi Marek

If you mean User lookup settings below it, choose MS ActiveDirectory. You'll need the context settings from a network administrator, but make sure you set Search Subcontexts to Yes (9/10 it's needed).

thank you for answer . I have set MS AD and search subcontexts , but what mean Authentication type=NTLM ? . This is protokol to autehnenticate user to moodle or bindle account to AD ? I set on IIS NTLM first , in moodle I set Autheticate type NTLM and bindle account . This work . But if I select in the moodle kerberos , iis I set to first negotiate , the authenticate failed .
