I'm using Essential with Moodle 2.8.3. Self-registration is enabled.
1st issue: I have enabled loginhttps and both login form and registration form are displayed correctly but there is a problem with finalizing the registration process. After the form is filled out the user is directed to the "Confirm your account" page. Up until that point everything is working correctly. But if the user clicks the "Continue" button under Firefox he is shown a security warning:
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.
Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?
This does not happen under Chrome or Internet Explorer.
2nd issue: If I try to enable https on the whole website most of the theme content is served through http thus prompting the browsers to block it.
A list of Essential and Moodle content sent through http on the front page:
1. Favicons (Essential)
2. CSS (both Essential and yui)
3. JS (both Essential and Moodle)
4. Footer scripts (Essential).
I have tried adding some lines to .htaccess that are supposed to force https on the entire site but unfortunately it did not help.
Has anyone faced similar problems?
