I am having problems when trying to play back records on smarphones.
The records are correctly uploaded and saved since I can play them back on computers. But It will not play back on smarphones (gs4).
I am not sure if this problem is related to the poodll filter.
In order to have the same player (HTML5) on both PC and smartphone, the setting "HTML5 Playback" is set to "Always use HTML5".
"Auto Conv. to MP3" is set to "yes", "Convert uploaded media with FFMPEG" is set to "yes" and FFMPEG works when I try to convert using command line.
The html5 player works properly on the poodll demo site when I use my smarphone.
What could be responsible for this problem ?
filter_poodll 2.6.9 (2014062000) (also tested with the latest versions)
assignsubmission_onlinepoodll 1.5.8 (2014062000)
A possible problem is trying to play back the audio file from an https url . Mobile browsers (mobile safari in particular) can be quite fussy about the certificates they accept. demo.poodll.com is not using https. This would be the first thing that I would check.
If you are not running https, then try to actually download that file and confirm that it is in fact an MP3 file. Then upload it to demo.poodll.com and try playing it back from there. If it works there but not on your site, it seems likely to be a server/poodll configuration issue. If it does not play back on demo.poodll.com then it is some sort if issue with the file or how it is created.
