I am responsible of training Teachers about using Moodle in a university.
Almost 100% of teachers expect that after grading a student the student won't be able to make any change to his submission. But this is not the case in Moodle: the teacher has to intentionally lock student's submission. The problem is that because this is so unnatural, teachers forget to lock submissions very often.
Wouldn't it be logic that after grading a submission it becomes locked automatically, and in case the teacher wants to unlock it he can indicate that?
Is there any way to set this behavior for the assignment module?
In the same context, the parameter "Attempts reopened" of the assignment is very confusing. If you set it to "Never" you would expect that students cannot change their submissions after you graded them.
