Dual Roles

Dual Roles

I'm thinking about adding a restriction but I'm wondering about dual roles for teachers. The restriction will lock the content if it is not done by a particular date.

I plan adding a quiz at the top that students must complete before the can see the course content. I know teachers can always see content but what about at a later date if the teacher wants to see it strictly from a student view? If I give both roles, will i be creating any conflicts?

Ideals?

Don't do that.

There are two options:

1. Simple but less good. The teacher can use the 'Switch role' option in the Adminstration block. This gives a rough approximation to what students will see.

2. Better. Create another user account, with an name like "Test Student". Enrol that user in the course as a student. The teacher can login using that account's username and password, to see the course form the student's point of view.
