I use WAMP2 server on Win7
If you left click the green WAMP icon in the toolbar you can view each of the versions for Apache, PHP and MySQL in turn.
However, back to the problem, I also looked for the httpd.conf file but my version t did not contain the code that Gareth talked about. So my thoughts are if it is not there you do not need to add it. At the end of the day it is only a wild guess by Gareth reading between the lines.
By the way the requirements to run Moodle 2.8.1 are...
I did manage to get Shoehorn working OK in the development branch of Moodle 2.9.
I am assuming you have the Bootstrap theme installed before installing Shoehorn?
It might be better if you changed themes and then uninstall Shoehorn completely using the plugins un-installer found in Site Administration > Plugins > Plugins overview, then Purge all cache.
Next make sure the Bootstrap theme is added and working. Then install Shoehorn again using...
Site Administration > Plugins > Install plugins
Hope this helps?
