Moodle load balancing

I am currently using dbsessions, but it's a bit slow - Moodle logins take forever. I'm not sure if dbsessions is entirely to blame for this.

Side note: it's quite strange to see a full M$ stack and a Linux NAS .

mixed The OS kernel is Linux based, meaning that it is specially designed for the NAS system and does not have all the functionality of a Linux kernel. The OS software is actually called Dart... The shares are Windows emulated shares and share the same characteristics/attributes of a Wintel share.

Interesting post

I am also trying to find out whether it is best to have the moodle-data folder on an NAS via an iSCSI LUN shared between multiple web nodes or whether to have both web nodes moodle-data folders replicated using DFSR?

Bearing in mind that we have a windows based system that would need DFSR replication for the moodle application, php.ini, config etc.

Its a no brainier on linux, separate node with with a moodle-data directory, both webs accessing this folder. Memedcache for double measures

Cheers
