I am looking into graphic ways to monitor the rate of frequentation for a discussion forum. I am using an old version (2.1) of Moodle. I can see each individual logs in a table, and can export this table to excel. Yet when I go to:

Site administration / Reports / Statistics, I cannot obtain a visual representation of the logs (more exactly it suggests that there was no log).

Interestingly the statistics function works for all the other courses I host on Moodle.

Is there a setting I'd need to change to have the statistic momitoring to work for the discussion forum?

I could email a couple of screen shot for clarification if needed (too big to be attached here)
