Is there a way where in Moodle 2.8x the assignment names in the gradebook could be listed vertically within a certain height and thus the grades would be listed in a more compact way fitting more on the screen?

This was discussed at the Gradebook Conference but I believe it was discarded because all browsers wouldn't support it.

The course completion report has assignment names rotated through 90 degrees to free up space and it seems to work with most of the browsers I have thrown at it. I am aware of a strange bug where it looks broken in browsers other than I.E. but I don't think that is a problem with underlying technology.
