Its OK - I've sorted it - everything works fine in Firefox!!

Well done... I'm on os x and just installed moodle 1.5 also and ws wondering about the same.. also works with camino browser

Thanks. Just started playing with Moodle and have been tearing my hair out with Safari these past few days.
I haven't tried Opera. Anyone know if it behaves?

I use Safari and it works great on my end whats the issue your having ?

The HTML editor does not work in Safari ver 2.0 (412.2). You will not see the following bar from Firefox when you try to post something in Safari. I love Safari too, but Safari does not love Moodle.

I love my safari (more than I ever thought I would) as it renders fast and handles modern CSS with ease.
It does not however like the htmlArea tool.
As many schools and colleges are Mac based I am hoping that someone with the skills will be able to modify hte code so that safari can pick it up.
In the meantime we have put firefox onto our macs here and have had no problems.
