They are of varying quality and none are what I would call complete but it should save you some prep time if you are planning on delivering the strategy through moodle
I have come to the conclusion that people seem to be spending a lot of money on inferior systems in the UK because they come with content so what better way to undermine that than giving away both the content and the VLE freely
Don't mention. Your benevolent sharing of resources is what ihave come to expect form the wonderful MOODLE community.
I believe I am working on an exciting wee project at the moment (referred to in my Music-themed request earlier today) and I hope to share my findings from the 8-week-long experiment with you all later on.
BTW I agree with your assessment of other 'inferior' systems.
You can find the donwload in the course here
I am also having difficulty downloading the zip file.
I can not find it.
Have you managed to download the file.
Please help me too.
Can anyone help please.
A dog I know (watch out, Helen) put us in touch. I emailed him a short while ago to see if he was interested in coverting them to moodle course zips for download but he didn't follow me up on that.
I've put together one for Unit 1 OCR A/AS (Code: G040) - not much of a course but does include the OCR resources and a few other bits)
I will pass it to our unit one person (different board) and I'm sure it will be useful.
thanks a lot for sharing these. I agree with the Moodle approach to share our generic courses with other teachers so our students can benefit. I am preparing some short courses for freshman students on topics such as study skills, time management, handling stress, interpersonal skills etc. When they are ready I will post a note to this forum.
Keep up the good work!
Perhaps you could make your courses available in the Moodle Exchange?
There are a few problems with this course for me which prevent me from submitting my courses there:
The max upload is 500KB so none of my courses would go up
Also, I do not like the glossary as a means of organising this information. I know you can browse and search but, IMHO, it doesn't work in this situation.
Most people in the UK would want to go to a course of UK specific courses and grab anything / everything they need for their exam board / syllabus, as the logs from my site show me over the last few days
If anybody would like there zip courses putting up on my site as they are too large for the moodle exchange (or as well as putting them on the moodle exchange) then let me know.
It would be nice if all of this were here on moodle.org but I don't have a solution in my mind that would work and suit everybody.
Unit 7.1 week 5 resources Dunk the Teacher and Presentation hangman both link back to your site (and are broken)...
I will fix it
I don't seem to be able to backup these courses on my site. I get a list of good backup messages that ends "Zipping backup" but doesn't give me a "backup complete message", nor does it take me to the folder that it does when I back up other courses I have. Being a complete novice I have no idea where to look now. Any advice? (I'll try to search my host machine for the file)
So you have installed the courses and that worked fine and now you are trying to create a backup from those courses?
Hmmm. What are the file sizes of the zips of the courses that do work. In other words are these courses creating zips which are large compared with your own courses?
Also, which version of moodle are you running?
I tried to log on to your website to view Key stage 3 Ict course but was not successful. Did not get mail of confirmation of user name. Help please.
We are going to introduce Moodle in our school, so I'm trying to get info.
Strange. The site has been going really slow recently and had some downtime but things should be better next week. Can't see how it's linked though.
Could you email me your desired username, password and email address (my email address is in my profile) and I will add you manually?
www.bassingbournvillagecollege.com/moodlebackup.zip ( note this is 450mB )
if you use them please let me know and freely add your own work please.
Send it on its easier if we work together.
I have just tried to download your moodle resource for KS3, GCSE for ICT from www.bassingbournvillagecollege.com/moodlebackup.zip however, the link doesn't appear to work. Has the file been moved or has the address changed? I'm very keen to see the resource you have put together.
Many thanks in advance
I have tried the link also for the resources however I am unable to access these
there are about 5GB in course detail so i am having trouble hosting them all where i can let everyone access.
my email is email@example.com
i will be able to give you access to the site.
I just saw your post about moodle resources.
I would love to see what courses you have resources for, especially KS3, OCR Nationals, and OCR Applied ict AS & A2
Many thanks for any help
if not ask again as i feel as if i am on this planet as coursework is now out the way
leaving the proffession due to silly senior management if you wish to have my work ask if you wish someone to talk or impliment moodle with knowledge please ask

We are doing this now and the course works fine on schools computers and is a promising piece of software which covers ever module.
Moodle version crashes at present sadly.
Do you know anyone who has/is using it?
have you used the new OCT Nationals software from North West Grid for Learning?
It comes in moodle format (Scorm) for versions 1.5 - 1.7
Unfortunately it doesn't quite seem to work yet although the non moodle version looks very interesting.
I can not find the resources on your website.
Could you please help.
