Problem setting System Paths on Installation (Moodle 2.6)

Problem setting System Paths on Installation (Moodle 2.6)

When I set the System Paths for du, aspell and dot in the admin window I get

X Default:Empty

for all of them.
I've checked from the command line and all are installed.
What does this mean?

It obviously means that your paths are wrong.

That's weird,

The paths were right.

I tested with ls -la | grep du (+aspell & dot) (while I was in /usr/bin) to comfirm location.

For some reason it didn't work.

I removed the default path in the field (which in my case was the right path) on the form in the admin form, attempted to save (which of course failed), then put exactly the same path back in again and saved, then it worked.
