Why does a Wiki start in 'edit' mode... sometimes?

Hi,

We have a wiki running in html format. Whenever a student or teacher enters the wiki they are presented with the first page in edit' mode. They have to click on the view tab in order to browse the wiki. Why? This isn't the same behaviour in all wikis on our site. Most just start in 'view' mode as you would desire.

I found one thread on this from last year mentioning the css for the link colour being a contributory factor? I'm not sure I understand the details in the thread however.

Hi,

I am having the same problem in Moodle 2.5, using html format wiki.

I created two individual wikis one day ago and they worked as expected, ie with the title page appearing first.

I added links for students to start their own page, but, today, these have disappeared from the title page. My own page has also disappeared.

Particularly helpful Moodlers

Suzanna, we have had issues with images disappearing in 2.6 so we stopped using Wiki and started using OUwiki.
