/blocks not Writable?

/blocks not Writable?

Hello everyone!  Thank you in advance for your help.

I've been working to set up the Google Apps SSO and all was going well until I got to installing the gdata block plugin.

When I attempted to install the plugin, I was told that the plugin already was installed.  I likely did that accidentally the day before, but I thought I could change the name of the block folder that had been installed (from gdata to gdata2) and then run the install again and all would be well.

Well, it didn't work and the install jammed up when the files were detected in the wrong location, etc..

However, I went to try again and was told that the /blocks folder is not writable.  I have no idea how that may be, but I looked and saw that daemon is no longer listed in the permission groups and that only admin has write persmissions.

How can I fix this?

Thank you, again.
